Adding Fat to Your Coffee, Bulletproof Style



For most of us, caffeine is our crutch and saving grace. However, sometimes it can do more harm than good if we have too much, leaving us with a crash mid-day or unwanted jittery feelings. By adding the right types and amounts of fat in your coffee, it can change the game. Why not get the energy boost without the negative effects? It’s perfect for pre-workout energy or just a midday treat. Or better yet, pair it with an intermittent fasting lifestyle, and you can even lose some weight. Adding this into your day will leave you feeling satiated and the MCT oil will help stimulate the brain, keeping you mentally sharp.

Our bulletproof coffees vary depending on what we are in the mood for. But our usual go- to includes:

MCT Oil: boosts metabolism, helps with fat burning,

Collagen: adds protein, resets leptin, increases skin hydration, keeps joints strong,

Ghee or Grass fed butter: better eye health, increases CLA, improved digestion

– Cinnamon: anti inflammatory properties, lowers blood sugar levels

– Coffee: increased insulin sensitivity and improved beta cell function.

  • 2 tbsp Grass-fed pasteurized unsalted butter or ghee.
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon (optional)
  • 1-2 cups Hot Coffee
  • 2 tbsp -Brain Octane Oil or MCT oil
  • 1 tbsp collagen powder

Add all ingredients into a blender and blend until creamy. Try not to over-blend as it can lessen the effects of the collagen. Transfer to a cup and enjoy 🙂
